How do you store and carry fixed blades.

Just recently I got a couple (eight) fixed blades and I got them for the purpose of trading and selling. So what do you store and carry your fixed blades in? I tried a knife roll and found the elastic loops too tight. normally I carry my folders in a tackle box because of the individual spaces. Just...

Someone here has to know

What knife this is that I have seen wanted and now can't find one pic or info on it anywhere. It was a German fixed blade about 9 inches overall with a 4" OD green plastic/nylon handle (shaped like a Coke a Cola bottle) with a 5" blade single edge. Very stout looking blade also I have went...

Robi Klaas Solingen Kissing Crane

Just picked this up at a pawn shop, I think I got a good deal ($25.00) but then again I can't find it anywhere. So who knows about Kissing Crane and this model? Rattlesnake Skinner and KC3 are etched on the blade. The tang stamp is light but it is the kissing cranes and ROBI KLAAS Solingen. Thanks S...

Re: Dress Knife

When my wife and I went on a cruise last year my friend asked me "What dress knife are you taking for the Captain's dinner?" I shrugged and told her I didn't really think about it so I guess I will take a small Victorinox Classic with me. Her eyes rolled back in her head and she informed m...

Re: Robeson fixed blade

Thanks for the info, I have looked up and down this blade and tang several times using a jewelers loop I can not find any other marking. I would only assume that the pattern number would have been stamped and the Frozen Heat would have just been a etch? I got this in a trade with 6 other knives (bot...

Here are a few quotes that I found insightful and amusing and I am glad to see that I am not the only one that “buys knives I already have.” ______________________________________________________________________ "too many knives, too mini money". Hell I've got at least twenty five knives w...

Re: Hobby Hurting

The best solution is education, but it's hard for a new collector to learn without getting burned. AMEN to that ::tu:: I was always a user of knives but I started collecting when I was in my mid twenties. One place I was working had an older gentlemen that knew that I liked knives so one night he b...

Re: THE ULTIMATE WILDERNESS KNIFE !

I would take these 3 and feel pretty good about it. The old Kabar has been reliable for a long time. Top guard was cut off on the advice of my good friend. He had just got back from Iraq (first war) and said cutting the top guard off makes it easier/safer to use the knife in the dark. He being a co...

I just picked up a fixed blade Robeson and I can't find this tang mark anywhere.

All it says is ROBESON on one side and nothing on the other.

Re: John Primble 7007

Somehow, the bail on that knife just doesn't look right. A knife that well made should have a bail on it that looks like it was meant to be there. I think Swiss Man said his was without the bail. After I wrote ORVET I looked at the pics again and that is when I started suspecting that the bail is a...

Shamelessly stoled these pics fron E BAY (my pics stink) the only difference between them and mine is I don't have a bail and the tang stamp has.

John Primble 7007

New here and would like to ask a question.

I have a John Primble Belknap Inc. USA Model #7007.

I have heard that Schrade made some John Primble knives. Is there any truth to this and can
someone tell me about what year this was produce?

Thanks Swiss Man

Also is there a John Primble forum?
