Re: Help answer a question about a old Winchester knife?

Yes, it does. The stamp on the back is 1920, there is no K in front of it. The front is worn down except a word starting with a K. Does anybody know what the book price would be on a Keen Kutter 1920. Looking at the few hairline cracks and the blade wear, I would assume it would still be in Fair con...

Help answer a question about a old Winchester knife?

I recently bought an old Henry Boker knife/tool set from a guy. He had another knife which looked like a Winchester 1920 coke bottle knife. The back of the blade is stamped 1920. The front is very worn. It does not look like winchester stamp. I can make out in a rectangle the word starting with a K ...

I recently ran into a guy that had a old wood handled knife that came in a small leather pouch. The tools could interchange with the knife. The tools were a hammer, drill, saw and other pieces. It was complete set. The stamp was H. Boker Germany. I could tell the knife set was at least from the 20's...

Re: Take a look at my latest additions

I am glad that you all liked the knives especially the Cattaraugus knife. I have collected around 25 knives so far and will post more pictures when I get time. I joined the local Wolverine Knife Collectors Club along with the AAPK and it has been a wealth of information from fellow knife collectors ...

Take a look at my latest additions

I thought you guys might like to see my latest additions to my collection. I got these three in the last four weeks. The small black one is a Norvell Shapleigh. Correct me if I am wrong but I think if it has Norvell it means its an early Shapleigh. The second is a Remington celluloid R605 and last b...

Need background on Joseph Allen & Sons Co.

I recently saw a Joseph Allen & Sons Sheffield England folding knife. My knife book doesn't give me any background information on this company. Are they a reputable company? It was a large folding knife with wooden handle. The knife looks very old. Any info would help.

Help me identify old bowie military knife!

Can anyone give me information on this fixed blade knife. It has its original sheath which faintly says USMC on the sheath. the bottom of the blade is stamped U.S. MOD and below that is 1917. the stamping fades after that. I didn't have a tape measure but I would say the blade is 12 inches or longer...

I saw in a small antique store a older fixed sheath knife that had a RH36 "Pal" stamped on it. I didn't buy it because I wanted to do more research. I understand Pal bought the remington company and some knives have Pal stamps. My question is this knife with the rh36 stamp considered a gen...

Re: Miller Bros. pocket knife. (Pictures added*)

Thanks to everyone who commented on the knife. You guys are great for helping identifying knives. That little knife wasn't even locked up in a glass case at the antique store, it was just sitting on an old dresser. My good find this week, on to the next one. I am going to have to get a price guide t...

Re: Miller Bros. pocket knife. Take a look at the pictures!

Here are the pictures. I hope you enjoy! The blades are pretty worn but the handle is in great shape. If anybody has a better idea as to the aproximate age it would be great to know. As far as value I paid $10. If it was to much I don't care because I didn't have a Miller Bros knife in my collection...

Case XX 6165 SAB Red Bone Handle. Should I have it restored?

I recently bought 2 old Case knives in a little antique shop. I wasn't sure the worth but knew that any old case knife is usually worth something. So I shelled out $30 total for both knives. A dealer at a local flea market told me the single blade folding hunter was worth some money and offered me $...

Re: help identify a knife. Yes it is a single blade

Yes it is a single blade. The handle is a clear acryrilic with 18 stripes consisting of red, yellow, light green and dark green. I have heard that imperial did not make good knives. Would that also be true of the older ones. Is there any possible value or should I put this one in the next garage sal...
