My information says that S&W contracted with a Vermont Cutley in the early 80's to make the American Series Knives.

A Rainy Day Knife Book Reminicence (Rambling)...
Over the years I have accumulated a number of knife self help books and pamphlets by Ferguson, Hughes, Ehrhardt, Frazier, Robinson, The Blue Mill Blade, Spurlock, just to name a few, and as I began to look through them, with little else to do on such a tempest of a day, I thought back to the days wh...

Tim sold this one to me so thank you Tim. It is 100 times better than expected. Nearly a full blade, loud snap, both ways. Hard pull, 1/2 stop. No damage, never played with. Just some misguided honing. The tiny bit of mint luster on the tang edge makes me crazy! I want to clean it, but the collector...

Re: KA BAR 664-5
This wonderful knife was sitting on a gun show table today, in its original sheath. A 664 5 marked on the inside of the guard. The jigged bone looks like it's on fire. The sheath, for an over 100-year-old knife, is perfect; sewn, riveted and braded. Perfect keeper strap.

Re: Show Us Your Camillus Knives!
A chute knife in need of repair. Both blades are mint, never used or honed. The tang stamp has the short line which I believe dates it to 1946-50.

I saw this one on a table at 'Gator' and the tang stamp really threw me. A very early SAK with fiber handles that equates to the 1930' -40's. Mint un honed blades and , alas, a broken master blade backspring. Rough handles more than likely because the maker used iron pins that rusted and expanded. '...

Wayne Goddard 'DLK' Story
Wayne now belongs to the ages as one day we all will. He passed in 2018 and left behind a legacy of knife making. Here's one that I found on a table at 'Gator'..I was unfamiliar with it and had to research it after the show but those those copper rivets gave it away. Wayne named it in a n article he...

Gator Cutlery Show 2022
I forget how many years; 42 or 43 in Lakeland Fl. Once again, it was a great show in spite of the 'cold' weather, 29F at one point. Some fantastic knives turned up, either brought in by the public or found on tables. Here's one you might like. A large, flat Spanish style 'Navaja' that was most likel...

Spanish Lesson Old Mexican Fixed Blade
'Por Ti Morena'...Very early no maker name, horn handles and sheath. In Spanish, 'Por' and 'Para' mean 'for' in English. But in Spanish, 'para' is like 'this is for you, (a gift etc). 'Por' is different. It is like 'this is for you', stab. I guess little 'Morena' was a bad girl...

Hello colleagues,
I been lookin' for one of these.

Matco Utica Kutmaster
Guy didn't give it up cheap and thought the Matco logo was more important than Kutmaster. Heavy nickel handles but the design sold me on it. MNatco started in 1946. What do you think, mid 50's 60's? Tell me that design isn't great!

For nearly two weeks, my last four sales have been held up with the word "processing' next to each sale. None have been credited to my Paypal account.

Unable to access funds
I have four sales, going on a week now, that I can not access funds from. Paypal says 'Processing', funds not available. 'AAPK' shows sales as 'Processing'. I have contacted these four buyers and they all say they paid on the day they purchased.

My Douk-Douk in gun metal with the 'scary' sorcerer on the handle. An amazing knife. 1/2 stop with a walk and talk that would wake up the dead if used near a cemetery. Made in France by the same family since 1929. The other is a 'copy' of the German 'Mercator' knife, made by Hy. Kaufmann since the 1...

A beaut of a 10" finger grooved fighter, both tang and sheath are marked 'I.M.K. with an eagle. Could a colleague shed some light on who the maker is?
Thank you

Gun Show Find Boker Plus Cage
It didn't cost much so I bought it, not knowing anything about it. Turns out, it's a heck of a knife. 4xx/1000. Titanium handles, D2 blade, frame lock and pocket clip. A 'slip joint' knife that has the factory edge. Made where? No country of origin as far as I can see..Not what I normally carry but ...
