Re: New Switchblade Forum

Hey folks, I'm glad to see an Automatics forum here (been awhile since I've checked in at AAPK...).
Nice to see some familiar faces. Sticks, Bill D, et al, hello everyone! Some of you know me from other forums, as Skinny or Puukkoman.

Catch up with ya,
Alex

I'd say keep it.
It will probably take longer to become valuable, but as a factory error it will appeal to many collectors in the future. Put it under your hat for a while, and if you want to get one to use, get another. :)
(then again, I'd drop it into my pocket straight away, if I were you 8) )

Moore Maker question

Hey everybody, a quick question for those oof you well-versed in the ways of Moore Maker. I bought a yellow bone stockman recently, to sort of try out the brand, and I'm impressed! It's got to be one of the nicest knives I have. Now, I have a buddy who's getting married in October, and I want to get...

Longbeach,
Which size stockmen are those? I just got one of the Jumbo stockmen, and boy is it nice!
Built to be a real, strong working knife, with the looks & finish of a collector's piece!

Man, you guys really have some great Schatts, and some excellent photos of your collections!!! I'm getting really into the S&M lines lately, too (and all the rest that are made by Queen, for that matter... Just picked up a Moore Maker Jumbo Stockman, in smooth yellow bone, made by Queen). They'r...

I would also like to see more in cv. One of my favorites to carry is a chestnut bone cv trapper. Hard to beat! (unless it's 1095... ;) )

Re: frost knives

johnny does not know what he is talking about. Wow, that was a little harsh. In any case, I for one would never buy a Frost knife. The ones I've seen have been QVC/Home Shopping Network junk. Definitely wouldn't feel comfortable relying on it as a real, usable tool. Frost s of Sweden is a different...

That baby sunfish is too young to be taken away from its mother.
Get the wildcat driller, so you can actually use it. MOP is for safe queens, in my opinion.

Mine rotates according to my mood, and sometimes according to my dress. Today I'm in jeans, so I can comfortably carry my Case chestnut bone CV trapper. If I were wearing slacks, I'd carry something smaller; most likely a Queen City small trapper (1095, red wormgroove handles) or a Queen bonestag ca...

Queen still makes an aluminum line. I think they're called the Big Chief series.

And Victorinox (and Wenger, for that matter) has been putting out aluminum-handled knives for years.

Most of mine are SAKs as well (Swiss Army Knives).
I have one that's not... First knife I ever had, given to me by my father. Little tiny knife with mother-of-pearl handles, and a corkscrew that could open a squirrel-sized bottle of wine.

Aren't those after-market embellishments? I'm under the impression that Case didn't actually manufacture a knife with the KKK logos, but that someone got ahold of some Case knives and altered a bunch. Am I mistaken?
Either way, good luck getting rid of that one. I can't help ya there.

I've got a Bark River. It's basically a pocketknife because it's so small. It's a Mikro-Canadian. The whole thing must be 3" long, or so. Great little cutter, very handy! My next fixed blade purchase is also going to be a Bark River. It'll either be a Wolf River or a Mountan Man. Nice knife ya ...

I have a couple. One's a toothpick with toasted-looking bone handles and "Saturday Night Special" etched on the blade, and one's a Gypsy balisong with bone handles that match the toothpick. They're both in excellent condition. Took some pics recently, I'll have to dig them up & post em...
