Re: Kudos to Boker

Had similar service from Case. Found an old knife in terrible shape that was recovered on the beach after a hurricane. Asked for an estimate to refurbish it to keep it from the scrap yard. Case made it look almost new and didn't charge me a cent. Excellent service!!

Re: Eye Brand

I believe the new importer is Post Oak Knife Co., but not certain. By the way, I met James Marek the former jobber for Mark Cruse. I saw a reference to him you (Paladin) made in a post. He lives not far from me. He still has some Eyes and other knives. This fellow is a wealth of knowledge and a plea...

Eye Brand

I heard that Mark Cruse is no longer the importer of Eye Brand to the U.S.
Is that true and,if so, is there someone else taking the role?
Are they still made?
Thanks in advance for any help.

AAPK Screen

I have been away awhile. The layout and print size seem different than I remember a few weeks ago.

Is it my eyes, my poor skills with the CPU, or did these things really cahnge?

Trying t0 ID the custom maker

The only mark on the tang is stamped "WTW". Bought in Arkansas. It appears to be very well made...good fit and finish. Stainless, I believe, with smooth bone scales. Equal end 2 blade pen. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Unusual knife pins

I cannot think of the name of the pins that were or may still be used in some Uncle Henry pocketknives. They are like tiny barbells that fit into keyhole slots.

Re: Cataloging my Case Knife Collection

I had the same problem some time ago. You can make an Excel file with as many columns as you want.
I use columns for Brand, Location, Pattern, Handle, Name/Number, Pattern Number, Comments.
Hope this helps,

Wanted - Empty pocketknife boxes

I have collected pocketknives for a number of years and early in the process I did not keep the boxes. I would like to replace the boxes to make it easier to store them. Also looking for the "treated" brown wrapping paper that retards rust. Mostly, Case pocketknives, but labeling doesn't m...

What is a "boy dent" on a folding knife?

I heard this term used in a video describing a small Lionsteel lockback folder.
Is that what some call the"nail nick"?
