Re: Western Boulder

I know the seller. He is a really good guy. These swirled handles are everywhere on ebay with the L pattern number.

They sure do look a lot better than the leather handled ones and bring a lot more.

Who did you say was rehandling them?>

Re: Crazy asking prices

I think this is part of the reason so many USA knife makers have went by the wayside. People still want to pay under $50 for a USA made knife. That is just not sustainable if you pay your employees $20+ an hour (which is cheap for a cutler), pay overhead such as insurance, utilities etc, etc. Great ...

Re: Boker Help Please!

As mentioned above I think this is an over run of the story tellers. Sometimes they intentionally made these at the same time and sometimes they had some left over after the run was done.

Here is a pic of one I have

Re: Cant make out the stamp on this stag beast.... Help!

The letter before the CA is more than likely an O or U or maybe even J. I can only see the bottom 20% or so of this letter.

Thanks and let me know if you find anything else out.

Re: German made Winchesters

Here are a couple 5 inch folding hunters for reference. They look just like German Eye folding Hunters from that same era. They ended up stopping the production of German made Winchesters in the mid to late 70's (I think over trade mark issues). Some of the very first Bulldog knives have Winchester ...

Dead up late 1970 or 1971 handles. The jigging on these look like little christmas trees. It is a shame they waster these awesome handles on a fake job.

Re: Indoor Knife Photography

Thanks. So the lights are mounted on underside of the box top, either side of where the camera lens goes ? and then are aimed at item being pictured ? or the walls to 'bounce' the light ? kj The are just mounted to the lid but hid on the inside behind the Plexiglass walls. The Plexiglas side walls ...

Re: Indoor Knife Photography

skw, in your second picture is it showing a rectangular hole in the front of the box through which you place the item to be photographed ? Where are the lights ? kj Yes, the hole in the front is a trapezoid shape (wider at the bottom). You can also take pics through this hole. The bulbs are hid beh...
