Good research ole_muddy. It pays to research anything one is passionate about...and yes, this includes Remingtons! Good work.

I agree MikeKoz; Common sense is not common among many of the young. That's why there are laws in place now to prevent them from doing harm with something like a pocket knife.

Re: A kind of sad realization...
Yes I agree. Case has little appeal if any, out in my neck of the woods. There is only one case dealer here in San Diego,Ca that I know of and thier stock is not exactly flying off the panels either. I don't particularly care for their line myself and I am in the process of getting shed of the few I...

Re: SCC Barlow fun project
Wow! Nice work. I'm kind of new at this too. I like to tinker with things and I also do some woodworking projects. I found some old table service with the steel rusting very badly so I took off the stag handles and cleaned them up a bit by removing rust and gunk. Now they are just waiting to be refi...

Re: Opinions on this Remington RS-3333?
I really like Remingtons, especially the old ones. To find one in "mint" condition would be a rare find these days. This one is more than I would pay, simply because I cannot afford it !! As it is, I think that sometimes I paid too much for some of the "whistles" I came across. B...

Hey mssteele6: Thanks for the feedback. I didn't know that some of their blades were ink stamped! Yikes. Well, I'll try to get some pics posted later on.

Re: Where Are All The Remington Knife Collectors?
I have a small Remington I once purchased on e-bay for $7.00. The stamping on it seems to indicate that it was made in c.1924-1933, according to some posted info I got from somewhere on this site. The back spring on this knife seems like it might be damascuss but I don't know for sure. Blade is carb...

Re: GEC Blade Configuration Wish List
Wow! I guess I am one of a possible few who likes the 3" knives. Personally I don't need a "big" knife for my work. The smaller ones that measure 3 3/8" down to 2 7/8" (like my Remington) work just fine for me. What I would like to see more of from GEC are pen patterns with ...

Re: Holiday Season vs Economy vs Knife Buying
The economy has affected my buying in a positive way. Less $$ means more "looking" time, which has inevitably led to more research of companys, patterns, steel types, and above all - Quality. Though I'm still partial to small and medium pen patterns, my appreciation for how they are made h...

Curt; I can't find it in any of my knife books but I will take a guess and say that it may be a piece that was made in England. Try looking up World knives Ltd.. They might have some mention of the company or maybe they can lead you into the right direction for info.
