Re: What's wrong with the knives made in China?

Saying you don't want to buy Chinese knives is all fine and well, that is a choice you are free to make. However saying you won't buy a knife made in China because the quality sucks you are sadly mistaken. Yes there are some cheap knives imported from China just as the is junk made here in the US. H...

Re: A knife made me a Mark Twain fan!

Mary gave him a bran-new "Barlow" knife worth twelve and a half cents; and the convulsion of delight that swept his system shook him to his foundations. True, the knife would not cut anything, but it was a "sure-enough" Barlow, and there was inconceivable grandeur in that - thoug...

I am worried about the chineese knife quality their knives aint worth a crap just sayn And I worry about the quality of the education in today's schools, just saying. If you don't like them then don't buy them...very simple. But saying their quality is bad is just an opinion and not only does every...

Not sure if it can be considered a pattern but the earliest folding knives were likely friction folders. I would be interested to find out what the first "named" or branded pattern actually was.

Re: A. G. Russell Knives

I will say when I buy a Chinese made knife from a US dealer I know the feds get a cut from import duty, the importer gets a cut, and from there you often have distributors and dealers each getting a cut too. There are folks who work in each of those steps who's jobs depend on the sales on these impo...

I don't know where you buy your knives but please tell us so we can avoid the dealer! You sound snakebit worse than Mattie Ross. I buy about an equal amount of used and new and I have yet to receive a knife with a problem as severe as you describe. Sure I have gotten a Case or two with blades that d...

Re: A.G Russell 2011 Texas Ranger Knife

The quality is there, and I am impressed with the knife in general but it falls short of meeting the standards A.G. set with the other knives in the series. It is a very nice back or belt pouch pocket knife, well capable of the daily cutting chores you would expect it to do. And as I said I would ha...

A.G Russell 2011 Texas Ranger Knife

I have been a fan of the A.G. Russell Texas Ranger knives since their introduction. The first three were all cut from the same cloth, as big and tough as the State they represented. These were larger than life knives made for larger than life users. They filled the hand, the blades were stout, they ...

I read the above posts about not buying Chinese products but if you truly felt that way how can you post on here? I know for a fact many of the parts in the computer you are using where made in China. As for the statement "they war game against us" guess what? We war game against them too....

The first pocket knife my father bought me was an Imperial barlow...44 years later it is still in my collection and in fact still in my EDC rotation. If you hate all things Chinese and don't want to own anything made there then you better prepare to live like Ted Kaczynski. The fact you are even reading this post means you buy Chinese goods. If you truly meant what you say about refusing to own Chinese goods then you will need to sell everything ...

I do own an A.G Russel trapper. It wasn't made in China. It was made by BOKER. Okay....that means what? You feel knives made in one foreign country are automatically better than those made in another country? You do realize Boker is selling knives like this trapper, http://www.boker.de/us/pocket-kn...
