Re: Case XX Canoe on Ebay

Ok I got this one today. Just wondering if it's real or fake? The tang stamp if I'm reading it correctly indicates 1965-1969. It has the Indian in the canoe. Model 62131. Fake ? Authentic? Worth? ::shrug:: The first pic is a counterfeit . The knife with the visable "USA" would have 1 - 3 ...

Re: Hubertus Knife Identification Help

Your knife was made from 1949 - 1990 since the blade is marked West Germany . I would tend to think that it was made in the late 1980's based on the bone handles . The value would be based on the size , so we would need to know the length (closed) to determine the price . The value would probably ra...

I'm not positive , but I think that they called it harvest orange . I have a couple of pocket worn Case's that look like the same color and that is the name of the color on the box .

Re: Being "tested" on (3) Cases

Just a tidbit of info that may help find more about these . The 1st knife is a 1981 stainless , the 2nd knife is a 1982 carbon steel , and the 3rd knife is a 1978 carbon steel knife .

Re: Hunters Pride & Cattle King

Thanks. They both have long matchstriker pulls so i don't understand this part: "Hunters Pride is a 2nd generation (because of the long matchstriker pull)" But if Cattle King is 1986 = first generation and it has the long matchstriker pull. Can you explain a bit further ? kj The matchstri...

Re: Hunters Pride & Cattle King

First Generation Bulldogs were made 1978 - 1987 . I believe that your Hunters Pride is a 2nd generation (because of the long matchstriker pull) and the Cattle King was probably released in 1986 . (I stand to be corrected on both of these statements by a more knowledgeable "Dog" man)

Re: Tricks To Bring Out Tang Stamp?

I'm sure that it is a Voos although it is very difficult to read . The style and handle color of the knife are identical to several of these that I have owned in the past . The value of the knife in this condition is in the $5 - $15 range .

Here's one that hasn't been shown yet . Bob That nice little lockback is believed by some of us to have been made by Camillus. Mine came in a Camillus box & papers, but of course that doesn't mean much. I think that you are correct . I hadn't looked at it that close and just thought that it had...

PARKER'S KNIFE SHOW
