They all are, so that shouldn't make the price high. Not only that, it's the basic Amber bone model.
This one is approaching retail on a new one, and the 'Buy it Now' prices on eBay. Strange.

Why is this Hobo going for so much?
Friends, I'm not a Case collector, and I know very little about their collector value. I do like Hobos however, and I've been following them on eBay. The standard amber bone models, new, tend to go for $45-$50, sometimes a bit higher. This one however is going much higher. Is there something special...

Re: File & Wire Series
I received my Saddlehorn today from Mike Latham. Very impressive knife! Dull, but that's not unexpected with Queen. I'll resolve that this weekend. I'm quite happy with it.

One additional note:
I'd also consider trades for a SOG or US-made Leatherman multitool, or a current production Case trapper in CV and bone.
Thanks!

Moore Maker (Camillus) Trapper
Friends, I would like to trade off this nice Camillus-made trapper, as I have the exact same knife in the Camillus Carbon Series. NIB, uncarried, unsharpened. I'm looking for the following (willing to add boot if necessary): Case #54 trapper pre-1980, CV Case Hobo with spoon Any USA-made Hobo with s...

Yep, just one more... That is a nice Trapper you have there.
I actually think my next Moore Maker is going to be their version of the Queen Special Muskrat.

Re: Case Bartender's Knife
No, JO52, you're not the only one! Heck, I thought it was a longshot, too. I'm a bit of a wino  , and I decided I want something with a bit more panache than a 99-cent corkscrew. So knowing your affection for yeller handles, interested in this Moore Maker full-size trapper? It's Camillus manufa...

I want to see the #53 Cuban stockman with a spear main blade in place of the clip. It would be a modern high-quality version of an old-time cattle knife.

Re: Lets See Some Stockman
Here's my 2008 6375, amber bone, CV. Nice knife, but nothing out of the ordinary. However, it is very special to me. It was a Christmas gift from my mother in a year that she was pretty short on cash. I told her I would like a Case knife, knowing that she could pick up a peanut or penknife at Sports...

Re: Case Trapper Thread
I'm not a Case collector, but their #54 trapper is one of my favorite knives. The newer ones don't have the same feel to me, but the 80s models walk and talk like no other knives I have. They open and close so smoothly, and they snap into place like a safe door. I guess, as much as I am a Schrade ma...

Very nice! Queen's mini-trappers are one of my favorite patterns. I EDC'd one for a long time. The Winterbottom bone on that knife is beautiful. What's the steel?

New Series F&W confusion
Gentlemen, I am really enamored of the F&W Saddlehorn Lockback and have decided I need to buy one. However, I'm confused as to the handles. AG Russell implies that this knife, being in the new F&W series, is only available in "Morning Ash" wormgroove bone. However, SMKW's site list...

Re: Fading Bone
Hi Dale, and thanks for the welcome back! I'm still working up in Seattle, although I'm living in Tacoma now. The WA club apparently has a show in Tacoma, but I've missed it two years running! :( Part of my scarcity, other than time, is that my knife-getting opportunity up here is a bit limited, giv...

Friends, I don't post much anymore, being pretty busy with work and such. That said, I'll still read the forum just about daily. Case Hobo
Friends,
I'm looking for a Case Hobo, the newer model with a spoon. They're easily obtained but I thought somebody here might want to do some trading. Doesn't need to be new, just a good user.
Thanks,
Dan

Re: WHAT KNIVES DO YOU COLLECT ?
Count me as another Schrade-holic. Especially Old Timers. I can't yet bring myself to claim the title 'collector' - accumulator is more appropriate. I have some 50 or 60 folding knives, about 20 of them Old Timers. I always used Old Timers, simply because that's what Bi-Mart sold (Northwesterners, O...

Flea Market Kutmaster
Friends, I picked up a nice Kutmaster stockman at the flea market today. Hoping someone can tell me about a somewhat unusual tang stamp. As follows: Kutmaster Utica, NY USA T-2 What interests me is the "T-2" stamp. I know there is a tool steel designated T-2. I assume that is what the stam...
