Re: 2008 Kentucky Derby
For anyone foolish enough to care..... I boxed 9-10-14 in an exacta. In case the 20 is a MONSTER, in which case the race would shape up differently, I played 2 savers the 20 over the 9, and over the 16. Good luck to all those who may venture out into the Derby mistique. ::nod:: ::tu:: Not ...

Re: Two brands I'm very impressed with
The Bruckman's are VERY nice!!
Can you show us a couple more pictures of the other knife please?
Oh, rostfrei isn't a brand, but means "rustfree" or stainless in German, in case you weren't aware.

Re: 2008 Kentucky Derby
Howdy boys... Well now, if the weather is good on the first Saturday in May, here are a couple of observations. 1. It looks like a fast pace is possible with speedballs like Bob Black Jack, Recapture the Glory, and Gayego all drawn inside the favorite Big Brown, who also likes it toward the front. T...

Re: Bear Mfg-USA
The facility in Alabama was originally Parker-Edwards...then Parker's business, which he eventually sold to 3 guys who worked for him (McIntosh/Griffey/C....?) and it became Bear MGC. Then, the business was sold to Victorinox (who wanted the plier patent), but still was known as Bear MGC. Then, Vict...

Re: Chisel grind.
I just dug out a production folder that has a more traditional Tanto shape, and is not a chisel grind. It is an asymetrical grind ( slightly higher on one side than the other) with recurve, and uses a "flipper" to open the knife and act as a guard as well. Forgot all about this CRKT Lightf...

Re: Classic Arms Intl
It is not very likely that Classic Arms made the knife...but, much more likely that they had knives made on contract for them. If you can show the markings in your pictures, great! If not, please try to describe the markings, especially around the ricasso area. Capitals...small letters...Country. I ...
