Re: J Ward Bronxville NY
After 4 years of searching I was able to to acquire this one. 3 3/4" closed Ivory handled with flat beveled bolsters, half stops with great snap feels like it is brand new open and close. It may have been part of a Knife and Fork set but not sure. The blade shape looks like it is from an eating...

Thanks Guys- The last 2 knives pictured are not mine. I used the images as reference for the Clip blade and punch style.
I should have made that clear.

Wallkill River Works with Punch
Here is an interesting knife. 3 5/8 " Single Spring with catch bit spacers and half stops. Well worn bone but unfortunately the blades have been cleaned. Is it a Cattle knife? Wallkill was a NYK brand 1928- 1931 if I recall correctly. It has a NYK style Clip master and the punch is the cheaper ...

Thanks greedy. Both Ulsters are ebony. Ulster used some of the nicest ebony with the tightest grain. You have to use a loop to see that it is wood.

Re: Unmarked Bolster lock hidden blade what-is-it knife
Galvanic, I have a similar opening knife. You slide the bolster to release the pin on the cap bolster end to pivot it open. I posted it on Bernie Levine's ID forum on bladeforums. he referenced many patents and dates http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/839632-Secret-Opening-Folder-Need-...

Re: UTICA !!!
This is one of the first Utica's that I bought years ago before I bought all the knives from the Factory collection. It is one of the oldest ones I own. Note the UTK stamping on he back tang which is the earliest mark. I love the Utica etch that is on old Utica's, really classy to me. It's only 3&q...

Re: Folding Toothpicks
Here's a Miller Bro's for Miller Bro's. I think the original blade was used up and was replaced by a homemade file blade and that was used up also.
You can see the file lines on the spine of the blade and the pivot pin is not original. It was someone's trusty companion for many years of service.

Re: a Great Grandaddy of the 2OT
Thanks Guys!
Here are some close-ups of the tang and cap bolster stamps. There is no pattern number on the blades, I'll call it a 2203. Very early Schrade Cut Co with pick bone and hammered pins.

a Great Grandaddy of the 2OT
Just got this off ebay, I went a little off my conventional wisdom to get it. The photos in the listing were not very good. The mark side photo was out of focus a bit. But the pile side photo was in focus and you could make out the arched Schrade Cut Co stamp on the bottom bolster. Both images did n...

ditto on that Maher & Grosh
Here are my 2 remaining Ulsters, sort of a Beauty and the Beast theme. The smaller 3 5/8" serpentine jack has sunken joints which is a nice touch.
