Re: Uncle Henry LB7 Lock-Back / Buck 110 Copy?
And now take a close look at this late model LB8 with the backspring pin in the middle. These later LB7 and LB8 with the pin towards the middle used a round stock lock bar spring or the double flat type. Re: Uncle Henry LB7 Lock-Back / Buck 110 Copy?
Yes, Schrade did make LB7's with double flat springs in the last of their years. They came in the blue boxes. I had one but sold it and bought a round bar type instead. Also have the 4 pin LB7 which feels best in hand to me. That being said, I mentioned the rivets and how they are flush smooth. The ...

Re: Uncle Henry LB7 Lock-Back / Buck 110 Copy?
Buck had the market for folders but that was a bit before my time. The LB7 is in a different realm and I was able to compare side by side. The LB7 is heavier and the blade seems thicker. Locking mechanisms differ until the later years of Schrade. The nice thing about Schrade was the loss guarantee. ...

Re: More funnies
If you look at the next photo it appears to be a Buck knife handle. The first pic. is definitely a Schrade but the blade looks the same in both pictures.

This one is interesting. Is it a Schrade or a Buck or two knives in one? Have a good night everyone. Here it is:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Schrade-Uncle-H ... 500wt_1287

Re: Schrade sheath mathing
My blade tangs are stamped USA. I think the non serial knives could have been Schrade's replacement knives for the loss program or for warranty purposes from what I've read in past forums. There is NO way I would ever buy a Chinese made knife.

Schrade sheath matching
I have a newer LB7 no serial number with a sheath that has the slits in the back for the belt to go through. My earlier LB7 has a stitched on strip of leather that is flat and my dad's earlier LB7 has a stitched on strip formed into a loop at the top. My father in law's 7OT has the sheath with the s...

Re: Lock mechanism types
That upper one you show is the round stock bar type. The picture of the one underneath is the single piece flat type. The one I mentioned is two flat pieces that are riveted together. The 6OT had this as well as the 9OT. Thanks for the pictures and info. Do you have any LB7's for sale with the round...

Why I like Schrade LB7
I like all kinds of lockbacks. I even collect BUCK and have a couple of those but what I really like about the LB7 is how smooth it is. Mainly, the rivets are flush with the handle unlike Buck. Also, there is a steel lock spring pin on this knife which makes it superior in strength and the only Schr...

Lock mechanism types
Hello everyone. Came here from the bladeforums and finally decided to register here. Anyhow, I have a question about the LB7 lock springs. I noticed there are three types. Type one is a flat stock piece single that I have in my LB8. The second type I found is a two piece spring riveted together at t...
