I recently got this Barlow With Nutmeg State etched on the bolsters both sides and Connecticut Knifemakers, Eagle knife co 1 0f 30 etched on the blade. Tang stamp is Cripple Creek USA only, no place no year. My question is there a way to know about the production year? I've read that all knives that...

Looks legit in the photos but I always suspect knives that that the pin is visible through the bolsters.

I always stay far as I can when I see the photos of old brand knives on red background, 99% of the the time they are fake, and the left 1% are modified.

Well the hunter us a fake, that have said, I'll add that it reminds me an Alster hunter I had.
The second you can see the fresh tang stamp with sharp edges on some of the letters, also when a blade is buffed the stamp is hardly seen, so 2 points that raise suspicion.

seems to be the consensus that this is a hsb, ovb, in good to excellent condition, from about 1960 if it is re- handled and 'overly buffed blades but everything else is original, what is it now? can it be graded now? is it a repaired hsb? is it a beautiful , one of a kind semi custom? the value is ...
