Not a bad looking knife, regardless of who made it.

Glad It's Over

Well I'm back from the Cleveland VA Hospital, where I had two stints put in on the 9th and finally released on the 15th. The docs said that my lungs were in such bad shape that I'd never come off the ventilator if they performed by-pass. So the stints were about all they could do for me. I just than...

Thanks Glenn and OH. It's good to know it's covered. I do have a lot
on my mind, so this is one less worry I have. Again, Thanks.

I Need Help

I'm slated to provide the knife for the August give away. I'm waiting on confirmation from the Cleveland VA Hospital as to when my by pass surgery will take place. While the Doctors have said that the surgery is not an option, due to the condition of my lungs, coming off the ventilator is going to b...

Re: Latest Voyles Auction

Thanks for posting this Ray. I was interested in a couple of them, until I read the terms of the auction. Does anyone (besides me) think that a buyers premium is a rip off? I know that this is done by almost all the auction houses, but it still aggravates me, to pay some one to buy their item. I gue...

I only live 15 miles from there. If anyone needs any info
about the area, let me know. The Roberts Center is where
NKCA had there shows. It's at EXIT 50 on I-71. (the Rt 68
exit.)

Uncle Dave Macon. What a character. I loved
that 'old time' method of banjo playing. I
think it was called 'claw hammer'.

Re: Garden planting time!

I've always had them sliced, but I'm sure I'd like them cubed too. Another thing I remembered about eating at Mamma's house when I was a youngin'. Instead of having salt and pepper shaker on the table, she'd have a large box of back pepper and a bowl of course salt set out. Didn't have to use much o...

That is sad, but I can understand how this might come about. My wife and I have no families to leave anything to. Most are dead and the ones that ain't, we haven't spoken to in years and don't intend to. The only things I have with any monetary value, are my knives, guns, musical instruments and too...

I want to thank you guys for your responses. I'm going with the LED. Sounds like 40" would be plenty big enough for the room I'm going to be putting it in. I thought maybe some of the members here were experts in more areas than just knives, and this thread proves it. ::nod:: Jerry I'm sure sor...

LED vs. LCD

I guess I'm going to have to buy a new TV set and I'm completely lost. So my main question would be, what's the difference between LCD and LED. I'll be the first to admit, that technology has done run off and left me. The next question would be, which one is better. I know that it's open to speculat...

Marty Robbins was truly one of the greats. I'd also include Carl Perkins as one of the original rockers.

I think my point in posting that 8th grade test was to suggest today's 8th graders could not pass a comparable comprehensive exam. I would go so far as to say today`s 12th graders could not pass that test ::nod:: I would say that there are a majority of college seniors that couldn't pass it. Griz
