Re: Whats your newest addition to your Buck family and why?

You can't feel the lock on top at all when you're using it. It flips open easily but it's a little tough to unlock. I really like it.

Re: Too afraid to make this an EDC..Even once

I can't relate. I recently used my Jared Oeser custom knife to cut some shingles.

Hey Lawrence, what is the knife you're holding in the last picture? That one is cool.

Re: not carrying steel today

The titanium doesn't really hold an edge very long. I've used it quite a bit as you can tell from the wear on the coating.
I haven't used the ceramic knife very long yet but I'll keep you updated.

Re: What do you EDC?

That is a friction folder by Schwartz Tactical. It has a titanium blade, with a chisel grind, carbide on one side. Textured G10 handles,
I had just finished a sheetrock repair for a friend when I took that picture.

How do you like the titanium in use? I have two, they seem to work pretty well but I have to sharpen fairly often. Nice and light though.

Looks awesome. I believe M4 will take a patina, so that should look really good in a while.

Damon, I mean how the tang of the knife sits below the frame when closed. I like that knife a lot.

Apparently this is an SFO and that's how it was ordered. It's supposed to be a drywall saw.

Re: Jared Oeser EO knife

Let's see: O1 steel (already cut a few apples to get the patina started), about 3.5" closed, which is perfect for me.
Very slim, no nail nick. Orange G10 bolsters, scale ghost G10 over orange.

Re: A Knife Cutting Challenge

Awesome knife, it has an appealing roughness to it. And I think we all assume our knives wouldn't match up to that. Impressive.
