I think the 16% is in certain circumstances with a buy it now combined with the paypal and listing fees.
Regardless, their fees are getting out of hand in my opinion.

Ebay Alternative
Hi Everyone, If you have not noticed the ebay fees have crept up even more, when combined with the fee to list and insert at a higher price than .99 cents the total fees are approaching 16 percent. I as a hobby cutlery seller and factory knife customizer cannot absorb that kind of fee when the mark ...

This is one of the nicest Linerlocks available for such a low price. Has beautiful carbon fiber scales and a really nice recurve type blade. Very stunning and functional knife. I have one of these myself and when I show it to friends they all can't get over how nice it is. Check it out here: ***LINK...

Re: DIY Electro Etcher test
I used the schematic from here: http://www.knives.mlogiudice.com/knifeshop/etcher/index.shtml Don't use the parts listed though, you can get them much cheaper at allelectronics.com including a 12v transformer for 8 bucks. If you get the parts from allelectronics.com you can build one for around 30 b...

Electro etching a vine pattern on a lockback spine
I did this as a test to see if it was feasible and I believe it is with the right stencil. I did this with a safety razor and black electrical tape and salt water as the electrolyte. It's crude because it was not easy using a safety razor, but with a exacto knife I think the results could be very go...

Re: Spyderco Torx Screw Removal
I got some torx screw drivers from Menards. You have to be carefull as a lot of times the ones that use bits are not hardened very good and
they simply don't last.
Something like these would be good.

DIY Electro Etcher test
I recently built a DIY etcher using the plans that are out on the web. The schematic that's out there is a good way to build one, but it did have a flaw, the output wires where reversed, so the red was the negative and the black was positive. If you build one, just make sure you test the output with...

Re: DDR3 Kit build
Nice work on that. I got a Ralph Button lock kit similar to that a few years back with the cocobolo handles, IIRC. I wish mine had been a liner lock, but it was a gift from the wife, so she did real good as far as I am concerned. Glenn I have the button lock one also, and the liner lock is better. ...

DDR3 Kit build
I really liked the Meyerco DDR so I thought I would try out one of the DDR3 kits which are very similar, but a lot higher in quality (cost quite a bit more for the unfinished parts) The Meyerco's are really nice, but the kits are even nicer. You can't beat the Meyerco on a inexpensive out of box exp...

Latest Buck 110 with Black G10 and red G10 spacers
Check it out. Still have to mirror polish the blade and do a bit more buffing, but it's pretty much done. On this one I used thin red G10 for the spacers instead of vulcanized fiber, the G10 spacers are superior to the vulcanized fiber ones. This one will be on ebay at some point in the very near fu...

Looks nice Eric,
what kind of glue are you using for the scales?
Did you get the blade from that guy in Idaho? Snake River or something like that?
