AAPK / Knife-Auction.com Consignment Program

If you have knives to sell, AAPK and knife-auction.com have teamed up to offer an exceptional consignment program designed to help you realize the highest possible value from your knives. Please take time to read our details and procedures if you are interested.

Cost is only 10% of the final sale price and we do all of the work!

Procedures...

You will need to send a list of your knives to Bryan Sanders (bryan@allaboutpocketknives.com).

Please include any of the following information that you can provide...

1. Brand or maker
2. Model or pattern number (if available)
3. Handle material (if you know)
4. Condition (Use our knife grading page if possible.)
5. Any other extra feature (does the knife come with a box, sheeth, etc.?)

If they meet our requirements, we will send you a confirmation email stating that we received your list and that we are ready to sell your items. At this point, we will also ask how long you want the auction to run and which listing option you would like to use.

After you receive our confirmation email, you will be asked to send the knives to us at…

Please include your name, telephone number, and address in the box with the knives. You will be responsible for shipping costs, and we will take full responsibility for the knives as soon as they arrive.

Shortly after we get them, we will put together and run a professional auction for your items at Knife-Auction.com that will include:

1. High Resolution Photography
2. Quality Detailed Descriptions
3. Management of all auction Inquiries

Once your item(s) sell, AAPK will manage the financial transaction, handle the packaging, and arrange for shipping.

The buyer will have a 7 day inspection period, so we will need to allow those 7 days plus 3 to 4 days for shipping time to expire before we can send payment. If there are no complaints from the buyer, we will immediately send a check or PayPal payment (whichever you prefer) directly to you for the final sale price minus 10%.

Listing Schedule...

We set all consignment auctions to start on the first Sunday after we receive your knives. You will have the choice to run the auction for 1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks.

Listing Options...

You will have the opportunity to choose from one of the following options to indicate how you would like for us to list your item(s). If you do not have a prefference, we will use option number 4.

1. If you have a specific amount that you want from your knives, we will list them at a fixed “Buy it Now” price of your choosing and allow them to run for up to 8 weeks (56 days). If they do not sell after 56 days, we will ask you to lower the price or select a new listing option. If you do not wish to lower the price or select a different option, we will return the knives to you.

2. If you have a bottom dollar amount that you will accept for your items, and you want to run an auction starting at a set price, we will set the starting bid at the least amount that you would accept and run a traditional auction with a 1, 2, 3, or 4 week duration.

3. If you just want the things out of your life, we will set the starting bid at $1 and run a traditional auction for 1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks.

4. If you are unsure of the price you want to start your knives at, you can select this option and we will set the starting bid at a price that we feel is best to achieve the highest value. The auction will then run for 1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks.

Requirements...

1. The knives that you want us to sell for you must have a combined value of $100 or more.
