Great Eastern Tidioute Melon Tester Whittler knife, model 892309. Measures 4" closed. Beautiful 2nd cut burnt stag handle. Three 1095 Carbon steel blades. Main spear blade etched "TIDIOUTE CULERY" on the front, back is etched with a circle with PPP. This means this is a Pattern Production Premiere. When Great Eastern comes out with a new pattern, the first run of knives get this etching on a blade, and also the box. So the next run of Melon Tester Whittlers will not have this etch. I have also found out that the next run of Melon Testers will have a wharncliff blade instead of the spear blade. This is unserialized. There will only be about 30-40 made without numbers. This was made in Titusville PA., USA, release date Oct 23, 2009. New, never used, never carried, factory sharp. Original cardboard storage tube.
