Kinfolks knives

This Jean Case knife has been used but is still inEXcellent cond. With near full blade with no pitting or scaring. I beleive to be the original sheath. The Jean Case line of knives were a 2nd line of Kinfolks Knives and some of the rarer of the Kinfolks knives. The line was made of overuns and seconds and Dean j Case the son of Jean Case who was 1 of the original founders and ran Kinfolks knives would have them stamped Jean Case Cutlery Co. for his Father Jean to sell will on the road visiting old friends and clients.The line basicaly disapeared in the late 1940's. I want to thank Dean Case The grandson Of Dean J Case one of the founders and manager of Kinfolks for taking the time to ansewer my questions and give me acurate information on his familys knives not shown in books. Dean maintains the Kinfolks Incorperated reference site on his familys knives. This is a very nice very early Kinfolks Hunting knife in Excellent condition with Kinfolks sheath I believe to be original. Tang stamp KINFOLKS INCORPORATED.This knife has Kinfolks earliest tang stamp used from the start in the mid 1920's to mid 1930's This piece also has the Rare Babbit mushroom K pommel Cap. The knife has a Full clean blade that may still have the original edge. The sheath sheath the leather is still pliable but is very old and some of the stitching is gone but it is securley held together by the 5 rivits. I want to thank Dean Case The grandson Od Dean J Case that maintains the Kinfolks Incorperated reference site on his familys knives for taking the time to ansewer my questions on this knife. This is the actual knife shown on the kinfolks Incorporatedsite in the list of hunting knives as an example of an early knifolks knife. Old KINFOLKS USA Hunting KNIFE & Sheath
Stacked leather handle with red and black micarta spacers at each end. Guard is made from black plastic. No major damage, no dry rot or cracking.
Blade has light pitting/peppering overall, no active rust or anything like that. Looks to be from storage in sheath to me, see photos/images. It has a 4 ? inch cutting edge with a 2 1/8 inch X ? inch blood groove on both sides. Nice gray patina and made from 1/8 inch carbon steel. Honed edge, light scratches from sharpening. No signs of any machine grinding or anything like that.

It also comes with the original Five rivet heavy stitched leather sheath with ornate design and Kinfolks stamped into sheath also. Snap still snaps tightly also.
Aluminum pommel with a brass screw down inside, it is loose and needs to be tighten. I do not have the right type of screwdriver, so I will leave that up to you.
The knife itself is 9 ? inches over all.
