TOTAL NUMBER OF KNIVES : 1
MAKER : Schatt & Morgan
PATTERN : Sowbelly stockman
CLOSED LENGTH : Just over 3 3/4 inches long.
HANDLES : Jigged bone that I would call autumn bone. There are cracks on both sides at the middle and lower or left pins. I am not sure the cracks will show in the photos or not but the bone is so attractive that it almost doesn't matter about the cracks. The cracks on the back side are less visible.
TANG STAMPS : The tangs of all blades are stamped SCHATT & MORGAN (over) CUTLERY CO. (over) TITUSVILLE.
CONDITION : The knife reflects use and sharpening. It does look to have been lightly buffed.
DAMAGE : Cracked handles, per above.
AGE : 1902 to 1928.
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN : USA
BLADE WEAR : I estimate blade loss at 10%.
SHIELD AND BLADE ETCH : There is an oak leaf type shield and no blade etch.
SNAP : Excellent on all blades, opening and closing.
ADDITIONAL INFO : This is a beautiful knife and I will deliver it to you by Priority Mail in the USA for $260. Insurance is optional with the buyer and is recommended.
