Item # 19177 - SCHATT & MORGAN Sowbelly Stockman, Jigged Bone, 1902 to 1928
30_19177_1242079959_1.JPG
More Details

TOTAL NUMBER OF KNIVES : 1

MAKER : Schatt & Morgan

PATTERN : Sowbelly stockman

CLOSED LENGTH : Just over 3 3/4 inches long.

HANDLES : Jigged bone that I would call autumn bone. There are cracks on both sides at the middle and lower or left pins. I am not sure the cracks will show in the photos or not but the bone is so attractive that it almost doesn't matter about the cracks. The cracks on the back side are less visible.

TANG STAMPS : The tangs of all blades are stamped SCHATT & MORGAN (over) CUTLERY CO. (over) TITUSVILLE.

CONDITION : The knife reflects use and sharpening. It does look to have been lightly buffed.

DAMAGE : Cracked handles, per above.

AGE : 1902 to 1928.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN : USA

BLADE WEAR : I estimate blade loss at 10%.

SHIELD AND BLADE ETCH : There is an oak leaf type shield and no blade etch.

SNAP : Excellent on all blades, opening and closing.

ADDITIONAL INFO : This is a beautiful knife and I will deliver it to you by Priority Mail in the USA for $260.

Insurance is optional with the buyer and is recommended.

Item # 17282 - Schatt Morgan Green Jig Bone Harness Jack 1 of 73
806_17282_1248545525_11.jpg
More Details

One of only 73 Antique Green Jigged Bone Harness Jacks made by Queen/Schatt Morgan. With blades of 1095 Carbon Steel this knife is 3 1/2" closed. This is the equal ended 3rd Edition. It is new in the box and has never been used or sharpened. It's a BEAUTY with fluted and pinched bolsters! A Harness Jack collector commissioned Bill Howard to design this knife. He used details from several traditional knives including an especially forged and sharpened punch blade which allows making an infinite number of different sized holes. Howard later left Queen to help form Great Eastern Cutlery where he is currently leading the production of high quality, user friendly and collectable knives. These are actual photos of the knife listed for sale. What you see is what you get. $7.95 S&H to US locations only. Insurance is included. Buyer must be 18 years of age.
