This is a KABAR jack pattern from the 1950’s to early 1960’s era. A handful of knife at 4-1/8” closed length. Similar to a CASE XX 99 pattern.
Smooth action, great snap, no wobble. Brass liners with pinned shield.
Blades have been used, lightly sharpened, full with light patina.
The nice tan Rogers bone handles have one tight pin crack on back at the lower pin – hard to see even up close.
Note: the handles on this knife may be second cut stag, not bone, it’s hard to tell, but I have had these with both handle types.
I WILL COMBINE SHIPPING FOR MULTIPLE KNIVES PURCHASED AT THE SAME TIME. PLEASE PM ME PRIOR TO SENDING PAYMENT AND I WILL GIVE YOU THE REVISED TOTAL

Nice early 1923-1940’s KA-BAR Texas Jack or Moose, 4” closed. Nice dark green bone handles with classic KABAR jigging, no pocket wear, one tight hairline on front across the lower handle pin.
Blades are used, sharpened, show some wear. The main clip blade has lost some snap, weaker than the spay but does snap. Spay has strong snap.
A great pattern, would make a fine EDC, a knife with real character.
KA-BAR STAINLESS, 1940’s to 1950’s era, 5”closed T29 fisherman’s knife. The main clip blade has the scarce ENDORSED BY ZANE GREY etch.
The main clip blade has lost some of its snap, slower than the other blade but does snap. Blades are full with light scratches. Backsprings have dark patina.
The yellow handles have no cracks or chips.

MAKER: Union Cut Co
PATTERN: Fixed blade
BLADE LENGTH: 4”
HANDLE: Leather, fiber & brass rings
TANG STAMPS: UNION CUT CO/OLEAN NY Rear: KA-BAR –rear stamp is difficult to read, especially in the pictures.
CONDITION: Good to Very Good
DAMAGE: This knife has seen some use & abuse. There are pits in the blade & pommel (see pictures). There is also some deterioration of the last two fiber spacers at the pommel end.
BLADE WEAR: It is precisely 4” from the guard to the tip of the blade, so I think the blade is probably full length. I am not familiar with the old Union Cut Co knives, so I have no idea if there was more belly to the blade or not. It appear pretty full to me.
AGE: I have no idea, but I suspect from the 1930s, pre WWII.
MADE IN: U.S.A.
ADDITIONAL INFO: I do not know much about older Ka-Bar knives or the Union Cut Co. I have described this knife as best as I could. I think it is a knife worthy of collecting and I can tell from sharpening it that this is fine, fine old carbon steel. With a little care this knife will last another 75 years. So if you need a good hunting knife or a bird & trout knife, here is your chance; and it was made in the U.S.A. Sorry, no sheath.
